You're reading...

Time Stopped then Moved On When I Did

And time will lift the sting
Away from these wounds
By then the color green
Would no longer mean something

The clock that hung on the white wall
Set at a certain time forever,
The red sofa pushed flat against the mirror,
The queen-sized bed and the balcony,
And conversations just before dawn

The witty banters, the inside jokes,
The flirtatious, funny lines,
The photos, the hearts and the kisses,
And casual chats of how the day went —

All these will soon be memories
Made blurry with tears and time
I’ll wake up one day to find
That I have left all these behind.
