When the Clock Read 17:24

You reappear in my life
Over and over

The way you utter each word,
The arch of your eyebrow,
The curve of your smile —
It’s as if you never left

A message, a notice
One late afternoon
Months and months later
I was somewhere else,
You were someone else

The way you phrase your words,
The way greet me with a “Hey”,
I can almost see you in front of me —
It’s as if you never left

A brief conversation,
This feeling of hesitation
I was somewhere else and you,
I found out about you:
You were with someone else.
