Inky Pools of Darkness

“They walk among us.” I refused to believe.

Today is his first day of pre-school. He put on his clothes without awkwardness.

He looked at me — eyes pools of darkness, devoid of emotion. Then his eyes returned to normal – big, baby blue eyes. Mesmerizing, beautiful.

“They walk among us.” I still refuse to believe.

This is my second entry for the 55 Word Challenge, care of Jezri’s Nightmares. It’s a fun challenge and something I look forward to participating when I can.

About Anna

Awed/delighted/floored with anything horror. Indulges in chocolates, blogging, writing, and reading. Attracted to the offbeat and the quirky / the odd and the strange / the weird and the eerie.
